ABOUT THE SERIES

Creativity & Beyond is a graded series of 11 books (Parts A, B, C and 1 to 8) that conform to the NCERT art assessment guidelines and recommendations of NCF, for art education in schools.Art plays a large part in making our lives infinitely rich by reinforcing our cultural heritage.  It stimulates different parts of our brains with a whole range of emotions and also broadens our knowledge horizon‘.Creativity & Beyond aims at providing a unique platform to the child that will help promote experiential learning for free expression of ideas and emotions. Creativity and beyond lays emphasis on a participative and interactive approach to the teaching of art and craft, which is both rigorous and active.

Salient Features of the Primary Series

  • Age-appropriate drawing techniques, like grid drawing, step drawing, tracing, assembling geometrical figures, etc. will expand the learner’s exposure to the world.
  • Guided colouring activities in the form of crayon outlines will help develop the learner’s gross and fine motor skills.
  • The books provide skill-based learning that integrates life skills with art and craft curriculum.
  • The books abound in multi-colour logical backgrounds that will support the learner’s final artwork.
  •  A variety of tasks, like paper folding, origami, tear and paste, board games, clay modelling, construction models, etc., have been incorporated to enhance the artistic capabilities of the learner.
  • Self-assessment projects will help kindle the imagination of the learner.
  • A range of games and play activities have been embedded for ease of learning and comprehension.
  • Interesting snippets, under the section ‘Sounds Amazing’, will enhance the learner’s curiosity and general awareness.

Salient Features of the Middle School Series:

  • The books have been appropriately designed with age-specific, relevant and engaging exercises that play a critical role in motivating middle school learners.
  • The entire content has been created keeping in mind the logical exploration of various rendering techniques vis-à-vis the subject/object.
  • Learners will find ample opportunities for hands-on learning in the areas of art and design, which is the foundation of any middle school art curriculum.
  •  A wide range of dynamic craft activities, based on 3 R’s- Recycle, Reuse and Reduce, focusses on issues and ideas that are of particular interest to a learner in middle school.
